AI Stewardship

How we use artificial intelligence at FeJonesLive, and why.

Our Position

We use AI. Here is how.

There is real apprehension around AI, and that is understandable. The tools are new, the landscape is shifting, and the concerns people raise are legitimate. There are genuine pitfalls to how AI can be misused, and honest questions worth asking about what it means for authentic creative work.

This page is not a defense. It is a disclosure. Here at FeJonesLive, we use AI ethically and deliberately, in specific, bounded ways that support the work without replacing the person doing it. Every word, every idea, every piece of research and teaching that comes through this brand originates with me. That has not changed, and it will not change.

Below is a plain account of the tools we use and the reason for each one.

The Tools

Three tools, three specific purposes.

Dictation

Wispr Flow

A voice-to-text dictation tool that captures speech verbatim and applies correct punctuation and formatting. It does not rewrite, rephrase, or generate content.

Audio and Video

HeyGen and Eleven Labs

AI audio and video production tools used for the Becoming Her Podcast, reels, and website and Study Room content. The script is always written by me first.

Research and Organization

ChatGPT and Claude

Used to organize research, think through structure, and sharpen ideas. I do all the reading, all the thinking, and all the writing. These tools assist the process, not replace it.

Dictation

Wispr Flow

In 2020, I was in an accident that left me with broken wrists and shoulders and 75% loss of mobility in my right arm. Since then, there are days where typing is not just slow. It is painful. On top of that, I now manage neuropathy symptoms and carpal tunnel, both of which can make extended keyboard use genuinely difficult.

Wispr Flow is a voice dictation app that works across every application on your device. You press a hotkey, speak naturally, and it transcribes what you said, accurately, with proper punctuation, directly into whatever you are working in. It removes filler words and handles formatting like bullet points when the structure of your speech calls for them. That is the extent of what it does.

Wispr Flow does not rewrite my sentences. It does not rephrase my ideas. It does not generate a single word that I did not speak first. It is a transcription tool.

This is a fundamentally different category of tool from something like ChatGPT or Claude, which generate and rewrite text based on a prompt. Wispr Flow captures what I say and puts it on the screen. The thinking, the framing, the words themselves are mine. The tool simply removes the physical barrier of getting them out.

Without it, some days I would not be able to work at all. With it, I can.

Audio and Video Production

HeyGen and Eleven Labs

HeyGen and Eleven Labs are AI audio and video production tools. HeyGen uses a cloned image and voice to generate video from a script. Eleven Labs does the same for audio. Both are used for the Becoming Her Podcast, for reels, and for video and audio content that appears on the website and inside The Study Room.

I know that for some people, that will be a point of disagreement. I am not going to argue the case. I will simply explain the reason.

I am in a season where the demands on my time and attention are significant. I run this business. I am a student. I am a wife and a mother. And I am also the primary caregiver for my mother, who has a life-threatening medical condition that includes hospitalizations, emergency room visits, and medical appointments that can be one to two hours from where we live. There is no predictability to that schedule. There is no clearing a full day to record and edit.

What I do have, from anywhere, is the ability to type or dictate a complete script on my phone or laptop, copy it into HeyGen or Eleven Labs, and have that content delivered in my voice, with my image, saying exactly what I would have said if I were sitting in front of a camera that day.

The content is mine. The research is mine. The script is written or dictated by me, every time. What AI handles is the production step that would otherwise require a full day I do not have.

From time to time, I will do live recordings. That has not disappeared entirely. But in this season, it is not the norm, and I will not pretend otherwise. When my circumstances change, my methods may shift as well. What will not shift is my standard: everything that goes out under the FeJonesLive name starts with me and ends with me.

Research and Organization

ChatGPT and Claude

I also use tools like ChatGPT and Claude in my research and writing process. I want to be precise about what that means, because it is easy to assume more than is happening.

I do all the reading. I do all the research. I identify the ideas, the frameworks, the questions worth asking, and the sources worth examining. What I use these tools for is thinking out loud: organizing what I have gathered, checking the logic of an argument, pushing back on an idea to see if it holds, or working through how to structure a piece before I write it.

These tools do not write my essays, my book content, my podcast scripts, or my teaching material. They function more like a thinking partner than a ghostwriter. The content that goes out is mine, shaped by my reading, my theology, my experience, and my own formed perspective on the subject.

To be clear: I type or dictate everything. Whether I am working by hand at a keyboard or using Wispr Flow to speak what I want to say, the words that form the foundation of every article, essay, podcast script, and piece of teaching content at FeJonesLive originate with me.

AI assists the process. It does not replace the person running it.

The Standard

What does not change.

The tools may evolve. The season I am in will not last forever. But the standard beneath all of this remains constant.

AI is not writing for me. AI is not replacing my voice. I am the researcher, the thinker, the writer, and the teacher behind everything that comes through this brand. The tools I use exist to support the continuity of that work across a season of my life that demands a different kind of stewardship.

That is what this page is. A plain account of how I work, offered with the same honesty I try to bring to everything else.
